Raising the Standards

What is Raising the Standards?

This prestigious programme was developed to motivate and enhance the skills of emerging leaders within TeenAg clubs. There are three fully-funded events each year, held in different locations throughout New Zealand.
Raising the Standards is run by New Zealand Young Farmers and funded by DairyNZ. With it worth over $500 per person this is a great opportunity for students to work on their leadership skills and network with like-minded individuals. 

Camp Dates:

Rotorua April 16 – 18
Lincoln April 30 – May 2
Napier July 8 – 10

What is the purpose of this?

The programme encourages students to take the lead in their school and community and eventually excel in the primary industries. This course is a three day, two-night event with a maximum of 18 students per event.

Over the three days students will participate in a programme that includes:

-       Dealing with conflict
-       Making meetings work
-       Setting goals
-       Working as a team
-       Communication and listening
-       Writing a C.V and interview skills
