Raising the Standards

What is Raising the Standards?

This prestigious programme was developed to motivate and enhance the skills of emerging leaders within TeenAg clubs. There are three events each year, held in different locations throughout New Zealand.
Raising the Standards is run by New Zealand Young Farmers and funded by DairyNZ. With it costing over $500 per person this is a great opportunity for students to work on their leadership skills and network with like-minded individuals. 

Camp Dates:

Twizel April 16 – 18
Palmerston North April 23 – 25
Auckland July 11 – 13

What is the purpose of this?

The programme encourages students to take the lead in their school and community and eventually excel in the primary industries. This course is a three day, two-night event with a maximum of 18 students per event.

Over the three days students will participate in a programme that includes:

-       Dealing with conflict
-       Making meetings work
-       Setting goals
-       Working as a team
-       Communication and listening
-       Writing a C.V and interview skills
